The education I received in HICAST was not only excellent; it has increased my exposure as well. The institutional linkage of HICAST with various governmental, non-governmental and private organizations throughout the course was the one thing which I really appreciate. I still remember that we used to do practical works in Nepal Agriculture Research Council's Soil Laboratory in Khumaltar, Lalitpur. We had practiced potato tissue culture in Dr. Mukunda Ranjit's private bio-tech laboratory in Naya Baneshwor, Kathmandu. We were frequently taken to Central Horticulture Nursery of Department of Agriculture in Kirtipur for the project work 'propagation in fruit' subject. These, indeed, enhanced my professional exposure and helped to develop academic network and linkages.
